2013 Catholic Writers Conference--LIVE

CWC live
Registration is now open for the 2013 Catholic Writers Conference LIVE!

We're heading back East. This year, we return to the place of our first conference, Somerset, New Jersey, and back to a familiar time--the first week of August.

Mark your calendars! The conference runs August 7-9, in conjunction with the Catholic Marketing Network International Trade Show. As before, membership in CWCL provides you with entry to the trade show; however, there are special events that require tickets. We should have full pricing on those special items soon.

This year we are hosting:
•workshops on marketing and writing
•presentations on marketing and selling your work
•in-person pitch sessions
•group critique sessions
•national CWG Members meeting (guests welcome, of course)

We're still firming up our speaker list - so stay tuned!

Many thanks to the Anne Spychala Family Charitable Foundation. They have given us a very generous donation. That means coffee and donuts! It means a reception! (Karina Fabian says, "We're Catholics--social food is a longstanding part of our heritage!") We'll also be able to help volunteers and presenters defray their costs of travel. So fill out the form so we can contact you when we're ready to register.

The 2012 Catholic Writers Conference Live!

CWC live The Catholic Writers Conference will be August 29-31, 2012 - in Arlington Texas at the Arlington Convention Center, in conjunction with the Catholic Marketing Network Trade Show.

This year's conference will be focused on "Writing and the New Evangelization." Our vocation calls us to write, but what do we do then? Our conference allows you to connect personally with Catholic publishers and retailers, to learn more about the art, show your work, learn the craft and network.

This year we are hosting:
•workshops on marketing and writing
•presentations on marketing and selling your work
•in-person pitch sessions
•group critique sessions
•national CWG Members meeting (guests welcome, of course)

Our Schedule is still being finalized, however speakers will include Father Andrew Apostoli, CFR, Author Patti Armstrong, author and Ave Maria Radio personality Teresa Tomeo, and author and editor Ellen Hrkach. You'll also have lots of time to walk the trade show floor (which is FABulous). We are also invited to attend all the Catholic Marketing Network events - you don't wanna miss those. We've also arranged for our registrants to be able to attend the blogging track of the Catholic New Media Conference --occurring at the same time--at a very low fee (a fee code will be emailed to you upon registration for our conference).

All combined daily Mass, rosary, adoration - how can you go wrong?

There are also opportunities for CWG members to promote books at our show booth.

A fun, spiritual and inspirational time will be had by all!

Online registration is now closed However, we will be taking registration on site! Click here to download our on-site registration form which you can fill out ahead of time.

Book hotel rooms at the Crowne Plaza.. This hotel is not attached to the convention center, however a regular shuttle will be taking passengers to the convention center (the on-site hotel, the Sheraton, has now been sold out.) *Please note, this hotel is booked for Friday night after the conference. The Catholic Marketing Network has reserved a block of rooms at the Hyatt DFW next to the airport. When you call to reserve, tell them you are with the Catholic Marketing Network to receive rooms for the same price of $119.
