A former producer with Wisconsin Public Radio, John Desjarlais teaches journalism and English at Kishwaukee College in northern Illinois. His novels include The Throne of Tara (Crossway 1990, 2000), a Christianity Today Readers Choice Award nominee, Relics (Thomas Nelson 1993, 2009), a Doubleday Book Club Selection, and Bleeder (Sophia Institute Press 2009), his first mystery. His next novel Viper will be out later this year. A member of the Academy of American Poets and Mystery Writers of America, his short fiction and poetry has appeared in many periodicals both Christian and secular.
